0xDivas and a return to OG NFTs

I don’t think that NFTs need to become more and more complex and grab more and more cash to succeed.
I believe that we need to find our own niche and build a community around our love for tech, art, and creativity, drawing in people passionate about an idea, not just people who want to speculate.
NFTs have the potential to be much more than just digital art objects; they can be used to store and represent the spirit of a movement, of a moment, and to show the world what we care about.
NFTs could be used to support and reward unity and support for each other, or they could be used to fight back against big tech’s control over our data.
They could be used to create a more decentralized and fair internet, and they could be used to help people take back control of who they are online.
I hacked together the 0xDivas over a long night powered by green tea and dark chocolate.

I was trying to create something that would reach back to when I first got into NFTs as an anonymous collector, before women in crypto had the voices we have today — before women in NFTs even had a presence.
The idea was to create a place where we could come together and celebrate our love of NFTs and support each other in building something beautiful and powerful.
I want us to find a sense of hacker representation for women like me — women who love crypto, don’t need to be condescended to, and are here to carve out our own space.
0xDivas belong to the community, entirely to the community. I chose to launch them without some extensive, over-the-top roadmap, without a Discord server, without hype, without pump, and with one of the lowest mint prices that you’ll see out there right now.

In a world where expensive, multi-ETH dutch auctions are becoming the norm, we’ve built this at 0.01 ETH. It’s up to the community to decide what we all do with the 0xDivas.
There’s already a Snapshot set up where any 0xDiva holders can create proposals and vote together. If the community wants to build a Discord, I’ll fund it. If they wish to have a Discourse, I’ll fund it. That’s what I’m here to do. But I’m giving it to all of y’all. You decide what happens next.
I’m not trying to create a grandiose future vision with the 0xDivas. I just wanted to build something small and beautiful that could be a force for good in the world, and I wanted to give it away. So please, take them, and do something fun. Do something unexpected. Do something that shows that NFTs don’t have to be all pixelmon and crap.
Show the world what we’re made of.
This is just the beginning.
P.S. The 0xDivas is also a way for me to give back to the community that has given me so much. I’m donating a percentage of the 0xDiva mints to support women in crypto through the ongoing Riot Grrrls grants program.
The 0xDivas are minting here for 0.01 ETH:
